Chat Wheel — TikTok Live Vote & Wheel overlay

Chat Wheel is a neon prize machine: viewers type the keyword to spin, results land on the WINNER panel, and history exports to CSV. Transparent giveaways, open to everyone.

Prerequisite: install and run TKStudio (Windows desktop) and connect it to the TikTok LIVE room you are streaming. This article stands on its own — from configuration to OBS / TikTok LIVE Studio setup.

When to use it

Follower milestones, hourly giveaways, celebration drops — the spin itself is public theater, far more trustworthy than a private draw. The WINNER panel keeps history and Export dumps a CSV so fulfilling prizes never relies on screenshots.

Craft the keyword around your channel name so every entry also floods chat with your branding.

The demo video above shows Chat Wheel in action (both EN and ZH versions), and the cover previews the layout; the plugin page's live preview is the source of truth.

Configuration

Configure everything on the plugin page in TKStudio — tune on the left, preview live on the right, then hit Generate link. The table below lists every parameter in panel order, its default, and practical gotchas.

ParameterDescriptionDefaultGotchas
titleHeading text on top of the overlay.Chat WheelLeave empty to hide the heading row entirely.
chatKeyChat keyword that spins the wheel.SPINCase-insensitive is friendlier; pin the keyword in your title or top chat.
spinSecTotal wheel spin duration. (2–8, step 0.5)4Longer builds suspense; past ~6s viewers lose interest.
holdSecHold time for a result or message. (1–8, step 0.5)3Wheels need ≥3s so winners can screenshot the result.
fontSizeFont size in pixels. (14–40)26Works together with Scale: set font size first, then scale the whole overlay.
sizeOverall overlay scale (1–10). (1–10)5You can still resize in OBS / LIVE Studio afterwards; avoid stacking both too small.
prizesWheel prize slices.6–12 slices: fewer is dull, more makes labels tiny.

How to use it in OBS

This section assumes you have generated and copied the link: open TKStudio → pick Chat Wheel → choose the room and tune parameters → Generate linkCopy link. Keep TKStudio running while you stream — the overlay link talks to the local TKStudio process.

Generate the Chat Wheel overlay link in TKStudio

Add the link to OBS as a Browser Source:

  1. In the Sources dock click +Browser.
  2. Paste the copied link into URL; set width / height to your canvas (usually 1920×1080).
  3. Leave Shutdown source when not visible unchecked so the overlay never pauses.
  4. Click OK, then drag / resize the source into position.

Placement: Wheels demand focus — center or upper-center during the draw, shrink to a corner between rounds.

How to use it in TikTok LIVE Studio

If you go live with TikTok LIVE Studio, the approach is the same — a browser layer, nearly identical to OBS:

  1. Open your scene / layer list in TikTok LIVE Studio.
  2. Add a Browser layer.
  3. Paste the link from Copy link into the URL field.
  4. Match the canvas size (e.g. 1920×1080) and keep the background transparent.
  5. Position the layer, go live, and send a test chat / gift to confirm it animates.
