Gift Wheel — TikTok Live Vote & Wheel overlay

Gift Wheel is the same neon machine spun by gifts instead: send the mapped gift to spin. Paid entry, visible prizes — monetization and show-stopper in one.

Prerequisite: install and run TKStudio (Windows desktop) and connect it to the TikTok LIVE room you are streaming. This article stands on its own — from configuration to OBS / TikTok LIVE Studio setup.

When to use it

Paid giveaways become frictionless: the trigger gift's price is the entry fee — sending it completes payment and entry in one beat. High-stakes prizes make 'what is this spin worth' unbearable suspense as the pointer decelerates.

Local winner history plus CSV export keeps multi-round prize fulfillment clean.

The demo video above shows Gift Wheel in action (both EN and ZH versions), and the cover previews the layout; the plugin page's live preview is the source of truth.

Configuration

Configure everything on the plugin page in TKStudio — tune on the left, preview live on the right, then hit Generate link. The table below lists every parameter in panel order, its default, and practical gotchas.

ParameterDescriptionDefaultGotchas
titleHeading text on top of the overlay.Gift WheelLeave empty to hide the heading row entirely.
triggerGiftSending this gift spins the wheel.Price sets the entry barrier; use a cheap gift for casual giveaways.
spinSecTotal wheel spin duration. (2–8, step 0.5)4Longer builds suspense; past ~6s viewers lose interest.
holdSecHold time for a result or message. (1–8, step 0.5)3Wheels need ≥3s so winners can screenshot the result.
fontSizeFont size in pixels. (14–40)26Works together with Scale: set font size first, then scale the whole overlay.
sizeOverall overlay scale (1–10). (1–10)5You can still resize in OBS / LIVE Studio afterwards; avoid stacking both too small.
prizesWheel prize slices.6–12 slices: fewer is dull, more makes labels tiny.

How to use it in OBS

This section assumes you have generated and copied the link: open TKStudio → pick Gift Wheel → choose the room and tune parameters → Generate linkCopy link. Keep TKStudio running while you stream — the overlay link talks to the local TKStudio process.

Generate the Gift Wheel overlay link in TKStudio

Add the link to OBS as a Browser Source:

  1. In the Sources dock click +Browser.
  2. Paste the copied link into URL; set width / height to your canvas (usually 1920×1080).
  3. Leave Shutdown source when not visible unchecked so the overlay never pauses.
  4. Click OK, then drag / resize the source into position.

Placement: Center-stage during draws, side-shrunk otherwise; if you also run a task board, put them on opposite sides.

How to use it in TikTok LIVE Studio

If you go live with TikTok LIVE Studio, the approach is the same — a browser layer, nearly identical to OBS:

  1. Open your scene / layer list in TikTok LIVE Studio.
  2. Add a Browser layer.
  3. Paste the link from Copy link into the URL field.
  4. Match the canvas size (e.g. 1920×1080) and keep the background transparent.
  5. Position the layer, go live, and send a test chat / gift to confirm it animates.
